Driving While License Invalid (DWLI)

Operating a motor vehicle while operator's DL is suspended, revoked, canceled, or denied.

To prove this offense, the State must establish each of the following elements: Driving with a suspended/revoked/canceled DL; Default: Class C; usually Class B with statutory enhancement; Class A with accident/injury aggravators.

The base classification is Class C / Class B (typical) / Class A, with possible enhancements depending on the conduct, victim, location, or prior history of the actor.
