What CadetPass is

CadetPass is a study-prep platform built around the topics tested on the Texas peace officer (TCOLE) licensing exam. It covers six sections — Texas Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, Transportation Code, Use of Force & Arrest, Family Code, and Health & Safety Code — with practice questions, statute references, charge ladders, elements breakdowns, and worked answer explanations.

Our content is built around publicly available Texas statutes and standard study material. We do not provide actual exam questions, certified answer keys, or any official TCOLE content.

How it's built

Every practice question cites the statute it tests, lists the elements the State must prove, and explains why the correct answer is correct. Where applicable, we include charge classification and penalty enhancements pulled directly from the Texas Penal Code, Health & Safety Code, Transportation Code, and Code of Criminal Procedure.

The platform supports two modes:

Score history and missed questions are saved locally so you can come back and review what you got wrong.

Who it's for

CadetPass is for cadets currently in a Texas police or sheriff's academy, peace officers studying for licensing exams, and instructors looking for a structured practice resource for their cohorts. The free practice library is open to anyone — no account required during our public beta.

Independent and unaffiliated

CadetPass is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) or any law enforcement agency. "TCOLE" is used only to identify the Texas peace officer licensing exam and related study topics.
